COVID-19 Vaccination

Uraidla Family Practice has been a part of the COVID-19 vaccination program since the beginning of April. During this period of 8 months our clinical staff have administered just short of 3000 Covid-19 vaccinations, a mix of both the Astra Zeneca and Pfizer vaccines.

Uraidla Family Practice will no longer be participating in the program, in its current form, from the 25th of November, 2021.

There are a number of reasons for no longer offering the vaccine in the short term, the main reason  is that the majority of our patients are already double vaccinated which is a great position for our community to be in. The vaccines are also far more readily available than they were when we initially agreed to provide this service to give our patients and the local community access to the vaccine. As you would know the vaccine is available at vaccination centres as well as many of the local chemists, which is where we suggest you go for your booster when it is due 6 months after your second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
