Doctors at Uraidla Family Practice are performing COVID-19 testing for current patients as required, especially if a consult is needed for symptoms. It is recommended by SA Health that anyone with any of the symptoms listed below, even if they are mild, should be tested for COVID-19:
- fever OR chills (with no alternative illness that explains these symptoms)
- sore throat
- runny nose
- shortness of breath
- loss of taste and smell
If you need a COVID-19 swab without advice or investigation of other symptoms we recommend attending one of the Covid Testing Centres where your test will be bulk billed.
Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency, such as difficulty breathing or chest pain.
Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 must self-isolate while waiting for test results.
Please ring the clinic as normal to arrange your appointment time for an appropriate consultation. We are implementing strict precautions and protocols around physical distancing to protect our patients, staff and doctors, you will notice the waiting room has less chairs in it these days. Please do not attend the clinic without phoning ahead. When attending for an appointment, please phone the clinic on arrival and wait in the car park in your car until we call you in.
This measure is being taken across most clinics in Australia as per the RACGP and SA Health guidelines. As circumstances change this information section will be updated.

Uraidla Family Practice is a true family practice situated in the beautiful Adelaide Hills amongst the vineyards, cherry orchards and apple orchards.
Just twenty minutes up Greenhill Road from Burnside Village and twenty minutes from Mt Barker and Littlehampton, the practice offers same day appointments and quality family medical care.
As medical care becomes less personal in larger clinics with many doctors, there is a lot to be said for a traditional medical practice where you are known by the doctors and practice staff. Not only do the doctors know your medical history, they know your personality and how you manage your health. It is very easy to then recognise something out of the ordinary. The result is an early diagnosis of any problems.
At Uraidla Family Practice the determination is to keep the values of traditional family medicine alive in a welcoming, friendly environment.
All our doctors, nurses and staff are committed to a family based practice and offer services to the highest order
We are opening late evenings on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. We understand and comprehend our people’s and patients’ requirements for a late appointment.
Uraidla Family Practice is currently accepting new patients.
